Abinash Nayak to begin CEO role on July 1, 2024

LIBERTYVILLE, Ill., July 1, 2024 – The Firm of John Dickinson Schneider, Inc. (JDS Inc.), parent company to Hollister Incorporated, a global provider of healthcare products and services, and several service companies across the US and Europe, announced new leadership. Effective July 2024, Abinash Nayak, previously JDS Inc. President and Chief Operating Officer, will become the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer, following the retirement of V. George Maliekel, who will remain on the JDS Inc. Board of Directors as Executive Chairman. Nayak is the fifth CEO in JDS Inc.’s 103-year history.

Since its founding in 1921, the company has focused on three things: Quality Products, Quality Service, and Quality People. Continuing that legacy, Maliekel has led the company through both substantial growth and global expansion while honoring the JDS Inc. mission to make life more rewarding and dignified for people who use its products and services. Maliekel began his career in 1999 as Vice President of Global Marketing. During his 25-year tenure, he held various roles that included Vice President Americas and Asia-Pacific, Vice President Global Business Units, and President and Chief Operating Officer, until his appointment as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of JDS Inc. in 2011.

Nayak joined the company in November 2019 as Vice President, Americas. In 2021, he was named Vice President Hollister Europe, and then the following year, he was appointed Vice President Global Business Units. In 2023, Nayak assumed responsibilities for the Global Marketing Organization, Research & Development, and Hollister global business units, and was also appointed President and Chief Operating Officer for JDS Inc. Prior to joining the company, Nayak worked for more than 20 years in the medical devices industry, holding positions at Baxter Healthcare and Hill-Rom.
